PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine capable of avoiding an increase in size of the engine when a balancer shaft and an oil pump shaft are disposed and suppressing the loss of power by lubricating oil. SOLUTION: In this engine, an output shaft 48 is disposed parallel with a crankshaft 28. The balancer shaft 129 is disposed on the upper side of a horizontal plane C including the crankshaft 28 and the output shaft 48, and a kick shaft 110 and a lubrication oil pump 96 are disposed on the lower side thereof.
