<p>PURPOSE:To prevent viscoelastic substance impregnated in a urethane foam from eluting into electrodepositing solution by a structure wherein the surface of the urethane foam impregnated with the viscoelastic substance as the sound insulating stock provided in a hollow panel is covered with a resin layer. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, thick expanded urethane foam is formed between the double wall or the inner and outer walls 1a and 1b of a dashpanel 1 by expanding urethane. Secondly, after being impregnated with asphalt, the urethane foam is compression- molded with a hot press so as to obtain a compressed urethane foam 8, over the whole surface of which a resin layer 9 is formed in order to obtain a sound insulating stock 7. Thirdly, a white body assembled by the dashpanel 1 containing the sound insulating stock 7 therein is immersed in an electrodepositing tank. The electrodepositing solution, which enters in the hollow portion 11 of the dashpanel 1, is prevented by means of the resin layer 9 from being polluted by the elution of the viscoelastic substance in the compressed urethane foam 8 into the electrodepositing solution. Fourthly, during the drying process of electrodeposited coating, the impregnated asphalt melts and consequently the compressed urethane foam 8 expands. At that time, the resin layer 9 bonds the foamed sound insulating material 4 to the inner surface of the dashpanel 1.</p> |
