PURPOSE:To enable a recorded image to be corrected, by a method wherein both a recording medium and a transfer sheet or ribbon are returned to original states (the states before recording), and then correct information is recorded by ordinary recording in place of character information to be corrected. CONSTITUTION:When energy A is given to a transfer ribbon 1, an ink layer 12 corresponding to the quantity of the energy A is transferred to the recording medium 2 to give an image 3a. To correct the image 3a, the ribbon 1 is returned to an original position thereof, and is again laid on the medium 2 carrying the image 3a thereon. Next, while holding the ribbon 1 stationary, the medium 2 is separated therefrom with a curvature, whereby the ink left on the medium 2 in the form of the image 3a is returned to the ribbon 1. Then, the medium 2 is returned to an original position thereof, is brought into close contact with the sheet 1, and the second information B is recorded by an ordinary recording to be the second information B, and a corrected image 3b is obtained on the medium. |
