<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent fixing properties without misplacing pages in terms of order even when a full color image and a monochrome image coexist. <P>SOLUTION: The color image forming apparatus is equipped with an intermediate transfer body on which toner images of a plurality of pages can be formed. In the case of monochrome image data, a monochrome toner image is formed on a photoreceptor and then is formed (transferred) to the intermediate transfer body. In the case of color image data, the toner images of every N (N is an integer ≥2) colors are successively formed on the photoreceptor so that the same color of every several pages does not be continued, and the color toner images of several pages are superposed on the intermediate transfer body by shifting them by a specified number of revolution to form images. In the case of consecutive printing in a state where the monochrome toner image and the color toner image coexist, the monochrome toner images of several pages are not formed on the intermediate transfer body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
