<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of part items and assembling manhours, and to surely develop an airbag by simple constitution, as to a vehicular occupant protecting device suitable for use in the curtain airbag developed to the in-cabin inside of an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: This protecting device is provided with a trim material 15 arranged in the in-cabin side of a body 20, the airbag 1 arranged between the body 20 and the trim material 15 to be inflation-developed toward the in-cabin side, and an energy absorbing member 4 arranged between the body 20 and the trim material 15 to be fixed to a body 20 side. The energy absorbing member 4 is constituted to form integrally a recessed part 5 for inclusion-holding the airbag 1, and a plurality of ribs 41b protruded toward a trim material 15 direction in a backface of an airbag holding face 51 of the recessed part 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
