PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the structure for holding a light receiving element of a range finder of a camera and to reduce the number of parts, manpower and cost. SOLUTION: A two grooved parallel slit is formed in a back holding frame 10 holding the light receiving element 2. A projection 11 pressing against a rear face of the light receiving element is provided in a belt-like part between the slits. A self-tightening part having a structure for holding the light receiving element 2 between a front holding frame and the back holding frame is formed.
