PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a celestial body searching/guiding system searching for a location favorable for astronomic observation and guiding the movement thereto. SOLUTION: When observing stars at a predetermined location, a destination is inputted by an inputting means 17 provided in a displaying means 15. A current position of a vehicle is acquired by a positional information acquiring means 51. Map information including the height information of the destination is acquired by a map information acquiring means 52 from a map information database 46. Upon acquiring celestial body observation information about stars, and judging the possibility for observing stars at the destination, the system verifies that there are no high buildings and mountains or the like therearound which obstruct observation based on the map information, and sets a favorable observation site.
