PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in an image recording system using a conventional intermediate transfer belt and employing simultaneous transfer-and- fixing, fixing of a toner image for recording an image is weak and improper to a high speed, highly accurate digital printer, which requires to heat the intermediate transfer belt, resulting in degradation in an electrophotographic characteristic of a photosensitive body and difficulty in retaining the long life thereof which occur due to a temperature rise of the intermediate transfer belt. SOLUTION: A magnetic induction heating device is installed in a simultaneous transfer-and-fixing opposite part of the low heat capacity. Thus, the intermediate transfer belt is instantly heated or cooled, thereby enhancing fixing strength of a toner image and preventing a temperature rise in the photosensitive body.
