PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make effective use of parts constituting strap shaft structure for attaching a strap to a camera body. SOLUTION: The structure for attaching the strap to the camera body is equipped with a strap insertion hole 15a formed at a camera body side surface part of a rear decorative cover 15 forming the outside appearance of the camera body 11, and a shaft pressing block 35 attached from the inside of the camera body 11 and shielding the hole 15a from light. The block 35 is opposed to the cover 15 and is constituted of a light shielding step part 38 coming into contact with the cover 15 to surround the hole 15a while securing space through which the strap passes and a half pipe shaped supporting surfaces 35a and 35b constituting a part of a supporting wall for supporting a battery B and a main capacitor C.
