PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can be downsized without decreasing a display characteristic and a yield of manufacture. SOLUTION: The display device is provided with a display area 3 comprising scanning lines, signal lines and pixel electrodes formed on a non-conductive substrate 1, a scanning line driving circuit 4 connected with the scanning lines, and a signal line driving circuit 5 connected with the signal lines; the scanning line driving circuit 4 and the signal line driving circuit 5 are mounted in an area other than the display area 3 on the non-conductive substrate 1 but directly in the neighborhood of one side of the display area; and the wiring 9 for connecting between the scanning line driving circuit 4 and the signal line driving circuit 5 is formed in the area where the scanning line driving circuit 4 and the signal line driving circuit 5 are packaged on the non-conductive substrate 1.
