PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an optical device having a monitoring function, to make an optical fiber array high-density, and to suppress attenuation of signal light. SOLUTION: An angleψto a reference face, of an end face 16a of each optical fiber 16 in an optical fiber array 18 arrayed in V grooves 12 is 6 to 45°, and a reflection film 130 for reflecting an optical component having a specific wavelength is formed on the end face 16a. The optical component having the specific wavelength out of signal light transmitting in a core 50 of the optical fiber 16 is reflected by the reflection film 130 on the end face 16a. Reflected light 52 is made incident on the inside of a total reflection member 92 from the bottom of the member 92 and is totally reflected by an end face 92a of the total reflection member 92 and reaches a light receiving face of a photodetector 70 through a second refractive index matching layer 94.
