PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator cage door apparatus with a locking apparatus suppressing power consumption and attain smooth closing of doors and easy adjustment. SOLUTION: Doors 10, 20 of an elevator cage are provided with a lock pin 52 pulled up by an electromagnetic driving device 55 and energized downward by a spring 53, and a movable member 57 moving in a door closing direction by door closing operation and moving into a position of obstructing the descent of the lock pin, by door opening operation. There is therefore no need to continue to apply a current to the driving device when opening the doors, while locking at appropriate timing without performing signal processing and control when closing the doors. Consequently, power consumption can be suppressed while attaining smooth closing of the doors and easy adjustment. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
