PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ozone monitoring device which is applied to most of water purification systems or the like without spending initial costs and maintenance costs. SOLUTION: The ozone monitoring device is constituted in such a way that at least a downstream side from an ozone injection position in a pipe 24 for water to be treated is formed as a transparent pipe 24A formed of a material having transmittance with respect to visible light, that a photosensor 25 having a light transmitting part 25A and a light receiving part 25B for the visible light is installed at the inside of the transparent pipe 24A, that the visible light 31 emitted by the light emitting part 25A is irradiated toward the transparent pipe 24A so as to be transmitted through the water 22 to be treated flowing in the transparent pipe 24A, that the light is received by the light receiving part 25B, and that a transmitted luminous intensity of the visible light 31 is found. An integrator 41, a differentiator 42 and a processing unit 43 are installed as means to find a change amount and the number of times of a change per unit time in the transmitted luminous intensitity of the visible light 31 on the basis of a detection signal of the photosensor 25.
