<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce impulse wave and pulsating pressure occurring following opening or closing of a fuel injector and to prevent occurrence of abnormal sound and various failures, in a fuel delivery pipe used in an electronic fuel injection type engine for an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: A flexible absorbing surface in a flat shape or a circular arc shape is formed on an outer wall surface of a communication pipe. The absorbing surface reduces the impulse wave following sitting of a spool occurring in opening or closing of the fuel injector, and the pulsating pressure occurring when fuel flows into a fuel flow inlet of a socket or flows out due to instant back flow. A sound absorbing/blocking material, a damping member, damping resin, or damping coating is adhered or sprayed onto a socket mounting surface or a socket surface, or the socket mounting surface is machined in a bellows shape, thereby suppressing transfer, transmission, or radiation of the abnormal sound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
