INK AND INKJET RECORDING PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink which can give a metallically lustrous recording and can achieve a highly weather-resistant recording, and to provide an inkjet recording process using the same.

SOLUTION: The ink contains metallic microparticles dispersed in a liquid medium as the colorant. The inkjet recording process uses the ink. The metallic microparticles are colloidal metal particles produced by reducing a metal compound into the metal in a solution containing the metal compound and a polymer dispersant with groups having an affinity to the pigment in the main chain and/or a plurality of side chains.
