<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacked gas sensor element superior in durability capable of easily achieving compactness and preventing deformation of electrodes, the breaking of wires, etc., and to provide its manufacturing method and a gas sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A first insulating base 11 having a heater 113, a second ion conductive part 13 having a solid electrolyte body 131 and electrodes 132 and 133, a cavity 15, a first ion conductive part 12 having a solid electrolyte body 121 and electrodes 122 and 123, and a second insulating base 16 having a porous part 161 having permeability, are provided for the stacked gas sensor element sequentially in this order. The overall surface of the second insulating base 16 to be in contact with the electrode 122 is provided with an intermediate layer 17 comprising both a porous part 171 and another non-porous part 171, and the porous part 171 is formed in such a way as to cover the overall surface of the porous part 161 of the second insulating base 16 and the vicinity of the boundary to a non-porous part 162. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
