PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange an interference device or a part of it included in a waveguide type optical circuit in order not to intersect an isothermal line. SOLUTION: The optical waveguide module has the waveguide type optical circuit including the interference device arranged on a substrate and a temperature controller for adjusting a temperature arranged on a rear side of the substrate. The temperature controller is arranged near the rear side of a corresponding part of the interference device, and the interference device is arranged along the isothermal line formed by the temperature controller.
