OVERLOAD PREVENTING DEVICE FOR BOOM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and low-cost device for preventing the overturning of a vehicle for high lift work by detecting load received by a temporary support device from an electric wire. SOLUTION: This overload preventing device for the boom is provided with the boom 2 disposed at a vehicle body 1; the temporary support device 4 mounted to the tip part of the boom 2 to support the electric wire 6 in a tightly stretched state; an electric wire grip part 5 mounted to the tip of the temporary support device 4 to grip the electric wire 6; and a force detecting means 20 for detecting force applied to the electric wire grip part 5. The overload preventing device outputting an alarm signal when the detected force exceeds the tolerance, is further provided with a support guide means 22 for supporting the electric wire grip part 5 in a horizontally movable manner; a spring 24 energized in a direction of obstructing the horizontal movement of the electric wire grip part 5; and a horizontal movement detecting means 25 for detecting the state of the horizontal moving quantity of the electric wire grip part 5 exceeding the allowable value.
