PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device where a transmission area is changed and adjusted freely only with a simple operation of a single operation link, in a belt type continuously variable transmission. SOLUTION: This belt type continuously variable transmission has a belt 18 passing a pair of split pulleys and changes speed by extending and contracting the split pulleys by swing operation of an operation arm 26 placed on the split pulleys by operation of a transmission operation tool 8. The transmission also includes a change means for changing the amount of swing of an operation link 43 by connecting the operation arm 26 and the transmission operation tool via the operation link 43.
