PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a paper container by which cracking is prevented from occurring under folding pressure when a container material is folded. SOLUTION: A container material comprising a paper base material layer of at least one layer in which breaking elongations of at least one layer paper base material among them are 10% or larger both in longitudinal and transverse directions, at least outermost layer and innermost layer among laminating constitution, consisting of thermoplastic resin layers, is folded by a folding pressure of 10-95 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>to form the paper container.
