The invention concerns potable water, beverages disinfection and long-term keeping thereof with using of disinfectant elements. The disinfectant element consists of glass ball with coating of precious metal, having antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. The surface of glass ball is partially covered with silver or silver and gold, at that the mass of silver is of 1.10-7-5.10-5g. Use of the invention allows to reduce silver consumption.
