The system has electrical plug and coupling components; each of these components has a housing in which a contact carrier carrying a contact pin or an earthing pin is arranged. The contact pins and earthing pins are made identical. Each contact or earthing pin has a first section for contacting an electrical conductor and a second section for contacting the relevant component. The sections are essentially cylindrical with different diameters. The system has an electrical plug component and an electrical coupling component (1), whereby each of these components has a housing (3) in which a contact carrier (4) carrying a contact pin or an earthing pin (5) is arranged. The contact pins and earthing pins are made identical.
