PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of a display image when a deterioration which time is caused in a display.

SOLUTION: An image for measurement is displayed on the display 105 at the time of a measurement mode. A remote-control transmitter 200 detects an L*a*b* signal being the quantity of a feature corresponding to the quality of the image for the measurement to be made correspond to each pixel of the display device of the display 105 for every 24-color monochromatic image and for each monochromatic image. A signal processing section 104 creates a computation expression having an operating cumulative time TM as a parameter for obtaining variation using a point of time immediately after purchase as a reference based on the L*a*b* signal at each point of time stored in a memory 109. The signal processing section 104 obtains the present variation (image quality deterioration information) by referring to the computation expression at the time of a normal mode to process input color signals Ri, Gi, Bi based on the present variation, creating color signals Ro, Go, Bo individually compensating for the image quality deterioration at each of the pixel portions of the display device of the display 105.
