<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a particulate quick setting agent for a shotcrete which remarkably reduces the generation of floating dusts and can impart a high quick-setting performance, and to provide a method for application of the shotcrete. <P>SOLUTION: This particulate quick setting agent for the shotcrete includes a mineral grain which is composed of at least calcium, aluminum and oxygen and has a Blaine specific surface area of 3,000-6,000 cm<SP>2</SP>/g.
