<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant olefin resin composition which contains no halogen, does not cause whitening when especially used as a covering material for an electric wire/cable, and a flame-retardant cross-linked electric wire/ cable which has required flame retardance and heat resistance and an excellent softness (flexibility). <P>SOLUTION: This halogen-free resin composition is prepared by compounding 100 pts.wt. resin mixture comprising an ethylene copolymer and at least two polymers selected from a styrene-ethylene-ethylenepropylene-styrene copolymer, a maleic acid-modified olefin resin, and an ethylene-acrylic rubber with 220-260 pts.wt. specific surface-treated magnesium hydroxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
