<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a uniform charging potential in an image forming device adopting a BAE latent image exposure system using an amorphous photosensitive body and an intermediate transfer body. <P>SOLUTION: It is defined that time from the steady rotation of the photosensitive drum 1 and the intermediate transfer body 9 up to the mark detection of the transfer body 9 is ΔTb, time up to the impression of discharged current high voltage of a corona electrifier 2 is ΔTd, time to be required up to the arrival of the opposite position portion of the corona electrifier 2 at the opposite position of a primary transfer means 13 at the timing of discharged current high voltage impression is ΔTk, time from the mark detection up to the start of image exposure is ΔTc, time to be required up to the arrival of the image exposure opposite position portion at the opposite position of the primary transfer means 13 at the image exposure timing is ΔTf, and one period is ΔTdr. A timing control is performed during the time ΔTh=(ΔTb+ΔTc+ΔTf)-(ΔTd+ΔTk+ΔTdr)>0 which is required up to the arrival of a latent image formed on the drum 1 at the opposite position of the primary transfer means 13 after impressing voltage to the drum 1 by the means 13 over the one cycle of the drum 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
