<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can form an image composed of a developer image with good reproducibility of an outline or a color on a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: In this laser printer, when an image formed on printing paper is judged that sharpness has priority (S3: NO) and the image is judged that black has priority (S4), a black developer image is formed first (S5, S6). Meanwhile by the judgment (S4), when judged that color has priority (S3: YES), a color developer image is formed first (S7, S8). And when judged that transference has priority in S3 (S3: YES), a black developer image is formed (S9, S10). Accordingly, when the laser printer 1 is used, an image composed of a color developer image with a black clear outline or with a color clear outline can be formed on the printing paper 3.
