LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein an etching pattern of an ITO (indium-tin oxide) electrode or the like and the pattern dimensions of color filters are hardly deviating from design dimensions.

SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device provided with a liquid crystal layer interposed between a pair of substrates, wherein at least one of the substrates is a resin substrate; and a conductive film selectively formed on the surface of the substrates is characterized in that it is provided with a patterning process including a first patterning process for forming a first pattern and a second patterning process for forming a second pattern; a seal forming process for forming a frame of a sealing compound on either of the pair of substrates; a sticking process for sticking the pair of substrates together; and a liquid crystal injecting process for forming a liquid crystal layer by injecting a liquid crystal between the pair of the substrates, and in the second patterning process, the second pattern is adjusted in accordance with the formed first pattern.
