PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing mechanism equipped with a grinding mechanism for grinding the surface of a photoreceptor so as to restore it to a clean surface after transferring and supplying an image formed with liquid toner on the surface of the photoreceptor to an intermediate transfer body in a liquid developing electrophotographic device using the liquid toner. SOLUTION: The developing mechanism is provided with the mechanism for grinding the surface of the photoreceptor by applying abrasive to all the area of the surface of the photoreceptor, and the abrasive applied to the surface of the photoreceptor is obtained by dispersing material constituting the photoreceptor as abrasive in carrier constituting the liquid toner applied by the liquid developing electrophotographic device.
