PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion apparatus correctly detecting a water level inside a storage part even if accumulated driving time is long or a heating medium containing a large amount of impurities is used. SOLUTION: This combustion apparatus 1 has a water level sensor 63 detecting a water level of the heating medium stored in the storage part 6. The water level sensor 63 is connected to a driving control device 70 controlling the driving of the combustion apparatus 1. A water level detecting control program operating the water level sensor 63 is stored in the driving control device 70, and the driving control device 70 controls the driving of the combustion apparatus 1 according to a using condition of a load circuit 22.
