PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller chain capable of sufficiently lubricating a part between a roller pin and a bush without increasing the width of the roller chain, prevent the extension of the roller chain, and improve a durability. SOLUTION: The roller chain comprises a roller 8 having a bush hole 8a, a bush 9 inserted into the bush hole 8a of the roller 8, a pair of inner plates 10 and 10 fixed to both the ends of the bush 9, the freely rotating roller pin 7 inserted into the bush 9 and a pair of fitting holes 12a and 12a. A pair of outer plates 12 and 12 are fixed to both ends of the roller pins 7 of the pair of adjacent inner plates 10 through the pair of fitting holes 12a to connect the pair of adjacent inner plates 10 together. On at least one of opposite surfaces of both the plates 10 and 12, oil holding recessed parts 13A and 13B for guiding lubricating oil to the roller pins 7 are formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
