The connecting device has apertures formed in one of the rear narrow sides on at least one auxiliary and/or control switch in each of which a latching element (18) is inserted, whereby the latching element can be moved in the relevant aperture transversely relative to the broad side of the auxiliary and/or control switch. The latching element has an L-shaped protruding section for engaging an I-shaped aperture in the adjacent device.
