Mechanical seal arrangement

The slide ring seal arrangement consists of at least one pair of cooperating slide rings (6, 7) where a stationary structure section (9) has one of the slide firmly mounted on it whilst the other ring has a common rotation mounted on a rotating structure section (1, 5) and from which an axial movement occurs. There is a secondary sealing element (10) between the axially moving slide ring and its corresponding structure section, held between axial fixtures (17, 18) and where the to-be-sealed medium's associated structure fixture area (21) is held. There is a system for releasing, with the secondary sealing element in sealed relation to the surface area (12) of the axially moving slide ring, of foreign material. The release system has a several fluid outlets (24, 25) in the vicinity of the secondary sealing element's sealed off surface area of the axially moving slide ring. The system supplies a rinse pressurised fluid that has a higher pressure or similar pressure to p ressure of the to-be-sealed medium.
