A membrane pump comprises a multiple component pump body comprising rigid plates (201,203,205) and elastic membranes (202,204) arranged between plates. A pump chamber (211) and blocking chambers (210,212) are separated by membranes into product chambers (230,231,232) and control chambers (220,221,222). The control chambers have control lines (119,120,121) connected to a control unit (100,115). The pump has a groove in the product chamber which runs from the apex of the product chamber to an outlet opening. The pump chamber and the blocking chambers are sealed by the membranes on the edge side. The blocking chambers have a common membrane. An Independent claim is also included for a pump set comprising two or more membrane pumps having a common control unit.
