<p>FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention describes the improved method for preparing 3,5-diamino-6-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-1,2,4-triazine. Method involves stages for interaction of 2,3-dichlorobenzoyl chloride with copper cyanide in the presence of acetonitrile an co-solvent to yield dichlorobenzoylcyanide, interaction of indicated dichlorobenzoylcyanide with aminoguanidine hydrocarbonate to yield an intermediate product. The latter is cyclized in the presence of potassium hydroxide an aqueous solution to yield 3,5-diamino-6-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-1,2,4-triazine.
