METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FORMING TISSUE SECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tissue section formation method applicable to either of a biological sample fixed by freezing or by an embedding agent and capable of quickly sticking a tissue section to a film without pressing the film onto the biological sample.

SOLUTION: In formation of the tissue section used as a specimen for microscopic observation, the biological sample 12 with a fixed form fixed by freezing or the embedding agent is sliced along a slicing face. In a start of slicing of the biological sample 12, the front end part of the tissue section 16 curling to the outside of the slicing face of the biological sample 12 is brought into contact with one face side of a tape 32 running apart from the slicing face of the biological sample 12 to be stuck to it by regulating a distance between the slicing face of the biological sample 12 and one face side of the tape 32 and a temperature difference between the biological sample 12 and the tape 32. After the front end part of the tissue section 16 is made to abut on one face side of the tape 32 for adhesion, the tape 32 is run with a speed matching a sliding speed of the tissue section 16 so that the whole of the tissue section 16 separated from the biological sample 12 is stuck to one face side of the tape 21.
