<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide picking facilities for reducing burden on workers when collecting books having different requested forms. <P>SOLUTION: The picking facilities comprise picking shelves 3 having a plurality of section storage spaces 5 for storing books, a picking terminal 19 for a moving vehicle 1 to which instructions of information for picking the books out of the section storage spaces 5 are given, and a management computer for managing information for the books to be collected by sorting destinations and allocating the books to be collected to the picking terminal 19 upon request for the books by sorting destinations including the requested forms of the books and for giving instructions of the information for picking the books including the requested forms to the picking terminal 19. The books are picked out of the section storage spaces 5 of the picking shelves 3 in accordance with the instructions given by the picking terminal 19 and collected in different requested forms. In this construction, since the books are collected in different requested forms, labor is saved for sorting the books in the requested forms after once collecting them and burden on the workers is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
