PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which light energy required for image formation adopting a sequential developing batch fixing system is reduced and an excellent light fixed image is obtained. SOLUTION: In the image forming method, a color image is formed by adopting the sequential developing batch fixing system in which toner layers, that is, the 1st layer to the n-th layer are laminated in order from a lower side on a recording medium by repeatedly performing development (n) times by using (n) kinds of toner having a different color tone and then they are fixed with flash light in batch, the PAS strength of the toner forming the n-th layer being an uppermost layer is set to be larger than that of the toner forming other toner layer.
