PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap opener with which a cap can be easily opened. SOLUTION: The cap opener comprising a flexible and highly frictional material has a tubular small diameter part 11 and a tubular large diameter part 12 integrally connected with the small diameter part 11, and is formed to be an approximately truncated cone as a whole. The entire shape is elliptical when viewed from a plane, and the large diameter part 12 is formed to be capable of folding toward the small diameter part 11 from the border with the part 11. When a cap with a relatively small diameter such as a cap of a PET bottle or the like is to be opened, the small diameter part 11 is put over. When a cap with a relatively large diameter such as that of a jam bottle B or the like is to be opened, the large diameter part 12 is put over the cap and rotated.
