<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hose-reinforcing polyester fiber which has good adhesion to an ethylene-α-olefin-unconjugated diene rubber composition, scarcely causes a liquid leak from a caulked part, makes processes for producing hoses stable, and gives the hoses rich in flexibility. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the hose-reinforcing polyester fiber comprises applying a first treatment to a polyester fiber which is preliminarily treated with a preliminary treatment containing a polyepoxide compound, then heat-treating the treated polyester fiber, further applying a second treatment to the heat-treated polyester fiber, and finally heat-treating the further treated fiber, wherein the first treatment contains (A) an aliphatic polyepoxide and (B) an ethylene-α-olefin-unconjugated diene rubber latex, and the second treatment contains (C) a resorcinol-formaldehyde precondensate, (D) a vinylpyridine- styrene-butadiene terpolymer latex, and (E) p-chlorophenol-resorcinol- formaldehyde co-condensate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
