<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that the initial pressure losses of filters for purifying particulates PM in exhaust gas are different in individual solid bodies and so dispersion occurs in the accumulation amount of the PM when the regeneration of the PM is stared at a PM regeneration starting differential pressure, making it impossible to uniformly regenerate it in all filters. <P>SOLUTION: At least once PM regeneration control is performed in a preset period after the initial condition of the filter and the exhaust loss of the filter is found together with the PM regeneration control, and the initial pressure loss is calculated in accordance with this value. A value, which is obtained by adding a pressure loss value in the accumulated state of the amount of PM capable of being purified with a predetermined fuel addition amount to the initial pressure loss, is a differential pressure in PM regeneration starting pressure. By adding a predetermined fuel amount at the time when the differential pressure in PM regeneration starting pressure is reached, the PM accumulated on the filter can be uniformly regenerated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
