PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera equipped with a mechanism for fixing the camera to an umbrella which makes it possible to enjoy photography even if it rains and makes it easy to take a photograph upon occasion even if it rains by making it possible to stably hold the camera by fixing the camera to the handle of an umbrella put up when it rains. SOLUTION: On the side face of the camera 1, a handle holder 5 which is sectioned nearly semicircularly is so provided that it can freely be opened and closed through a hinge part 51. A press body 53 and a press receiving body 12 which are made of elastic materials such as sponge rubber are provided on the inside surface of the handle holder 5 and the side face of the camera 1. The handle holder 5 is opened and while the handle 3 of the umbrella is pressed against the press receiving body 12, the handle holder 5 is closed to fix the camera 1 to the handle 3 of the umbrella. A shutter release button 19 is arranged nearby the side face on the opposite side from the handle holder 5 and then the operability of the camera 1 is not spoiled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
