PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ribbon lamination type optical fiber drop cable and a method of manufacturing the same, which improve transmission loss characteristic, temperature characteristic, mechanical characteristic, and productivity. SOLUTION: A long-sized optical element part 9 where in two or more laminated ribbon coated optical fiber 3 and tension members 5 for optical element which are arranged in parallel in the vicinity of the cores 3 are covered with a cable sheath 7 and a long-sized cable support line part 15 having a support line 11 covered with a sheath 13 are stuck to each other in parallel to constitute the ribbon lamination type optical fiber drop cable 1, and it is characterized in that two sheets or more laminated ribbon coated optical fibers are joined to each other.
