PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic core-sheath type conjugate yarn having both of soft feeling and deep-colorable properties while keeping sufficient elasticity, and to provide an elastic woven or knitted fabric. SOLUTION: The elastic core-sheath type conjugate yarn consists of a core part constituted of an elastic fiber having≥70% elongation at break, and a sheath part constituted of a fiber-forming thermoplastic polymer and having≥70% elongation at break.
