摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit number control device of a heat source and a unit number control method which make stable unit number control of the heat source. SOLUTION: This control device 1 is provided with a temperature gap calculation part 23 for calculating a load-side temperature gap which is a difference between a feed water temperature from freezing machines 3-1 through 4 to a load device 2 and a return water temperature from the load device to the heat source, a heat quantity calculation part 24 for calculating consumed heat quantity on the load side from the feed water temperature, return water temperature and a flow rate, a recording part 22 for recording in advance a predetermined value indicating a maximum temperature gap which can be generated by one unit of the heat source, and a control part 21 for determining the number of operating units of the heat source based on the flow rate to the load device when the load-side temperature gap is smaller than the predetermined value and for determining the number of operating units of the heat source based on the load heat quantity when the load-side temperature gap is larger than the predetermined value.
