<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which keeps the high quality of a toner even after printing a large number of sheets by using the toner free from the liberation of an external additive and hardly causes the contamination of a contact charging roller charging a photoreceptor in a cleaner-less system. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming method comprises a charging process of charging an electrophotographic sensitive body with the contact charging roller, an exposure process of forming an electrostatic latent image, a development process of developing the latent image by means of one-component development method and a transfer method of transferring the developed toner image to a body to be transferred. The toner is a magnetic toner which contains a binder resin and a magnet and has a weight average diameter of 4-12 μm, has a relative surface area ≥175 m<SP>2</SP>/g and comprises silica fine particles treated with a silane coupling agent and silicone oil which are externally added by 0-1.0 mass%. In addition, when the amount of external addition of the silica fine particles is X mass% and the degree of aggregation at the X wt.% external addition is Y%, the following relational expression is available between X and Y: Y≤80exp(-1.6X) (Exp. 1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
