<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can be made thin and wherein man-hours can be reduced without decreasing illumination efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a liquid crystal panel 2, a light source 15 emitting illumination light for the liquid crystal panel 2, a light guide plate 4 opposed to the liquid crystal panel 2, receiving the light emitted by the light soured 15 from a side surface and introducing the emitted light to the liquid crystal panel 2 and a holding frame 11 holding the liquid crystal panel 2 and the light guide plate 4. The inner wall surface 11b of an aperture part 11c provided at the holding frame 11 and the side surface 4a of the light guide plate 4 are welded by two-color molding process or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
