PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power saving device for electromechanical instruments which operates especially an air conditioning device and other electromechanical instruments intermittently by giving a time difference so as to reduce maximum power, to save on energy and to reduce running costs of plants and shops. SOLUTION: This power saving device 1 for electromechanical instruments comprises a detector 3 for sensing a numeric value of an atmosphere, a control means 3 for outputting a command for intermittent operation with a time difference between the electromechanical instruments based on the numeric value detected by the detecting means, an opening/closing means 4 for opening/closing an electrical circuit by the command of the control means, and an air conditioning device and a large number of electromechanical instruments 5 which are intermittently operated with a time difference by operation of the opening/ closing means.
