PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an isolation system having isolation effects for up and down vibrations. SOLUTION: A rubber ball 38 is inserted between a fixing plate 14 and a moving plate 34, and the moving plate 34 and the fixing plate 14 are relatively movable each other. A first arm 26 is rotatably installed on the fixing plate 14, and a second arm 30 is rotatably installed on the moving plate 34. The first arm 26 and the second arm 30 are rotatably connected each other by a ball joint 28. An oil damper 42 is connected with the adjacent ball joint 28, and limits a relative movement of the ball joint 28. Upon generating vibration in a vertical direction, the rubber ball 38 is elastically deformed, and braking force of the oil damper 42 is operated on the ball joint 28 so that the distance of the ball joint 28 is separated or approached by changing the distance between the fixing plate 14 and the moving plate 34 at the vertical direction. Thus, vibration of the structure at the vertical direction is damped by the oil damper 42 arranged in the horizontal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
