PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cheese-shaped package suppressing the formation of a bulge and a saddle at low level, and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: The traverse speed when winding up synthetic fiber string into a cheese-shaped package and a twill angle in the synthetic fiber string cheese-shaped package conduct rocking of the following expressions (1), (2) in the whole area or a part from the most outer layer to the most inner layer, and while turning with the period, a string traverse width conducts rocking of the following expression (3). 8≤Dθ≤55...(1), Lt×T/L<3.2<×10<SP>7</SP>...(2), 0.90≤Lmin/Lmax<0.99...(3). Where,θ: twill angle (rad), Dθ: a rocking rate of tanθ(%) Lt: the length of string wound till the twill angle rocks one cycle (m), Lmax: the maximum traverse width (m) and Lmim: the minimum traverse width (m).
